Dr. Teo Wan Lin is a board-certified dermatologist and chief scientific officer of Dr. TWL Dermaceuticals, a dermocosmetic skincare brand. She has authored the following books: Skincare Bible – Dermatologist’s Tips For Cosmeceutical Skincare, Haircare Bible: Dermatologist’s Tips for Haircare and Hair Loss and Masking Up: Dermatologist’s Guide to Maskne.
Dr. Teo has authored more than 10 papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals. She published the first white paper on maskne “Diagnostic and management considerations for maskne in the era of COVID-19” in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology in October 2020. Her paper “The Maskne microbiome – pathophysiology and therapeutics” was published in the February 2021 issue of the International Journal of Dermatology. Her area of research is in botanical dermocosmetics, biofunctional textiles and the skin microbiome. Dr. Teo also hosts a beauty podcast Dermatologist Talks – Science of Beauty on Spotify / Apple Podcasts, which covers the latest trends in beauty, skincare and dermatology news.
